Curt Stilp

Curt Stilp became program director of the School of Medical Science PA program in 2020 and was named asssociate dean of the College of Medical Science in 2021. Prior to his arrival, he was director of the Oregon Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and an associate professor in Oregon Health & Science University's PA program, where he was clinical coordinator and taught a variety of courses for more than 11 years.

As AHEC director, Stilp ran an interprofessional AHEC Scholars program designed to prepare health profession students to care for rural and underserved communities as a member of a health care team. 

Stilp began his health care career as a registered nurse and graduated from Rosalind Franklin University’s PA program in 2001. He has worked as a PA in general orthopedics with experience in spinal deformity surgery. He completed his doctorate of education in education leadership at Portland State University, with research interests in interprofessional education (IPE), rural student training, and health professional workforce development. Currently, he is chair of the Oregon Health Care Workforce Committee. 

Stilp, his wife and four children live in Newberg and love the beautiful surroundings of the Willamette Valley.  They have attended Westside: A Jesus Church for many years. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, watching football and baseball, and supporting his kids in their various athletic and academic pursuits.
