Legal Sex Designation Change

ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ Fox University requires students to use their legal sex in university data systems. ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ Fox University is required to collect this data in order to comply with federal reporting, including IPEDS reporting, student employment, international student status, and the granting of federal financial aid. Gender/gender identity are not currently recorded in the university’s data system.

Students can notify us of a legal sex designation change by submitting a Legal Sex Designation Change Form to the registrar’s office along with proper documentation displaying the legal sex – a copy of a court order, current passport, or proof from the Social Security Administration showing the new legal sex designation.

Upon verification, staff will update a student’s legal sex in the data system for use throughout the university. See the Academic Catalog for more information about ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ Fox’s legal sex policies.
