Health Savings Account (HSA)

Health Equity

We offer an HSA, or Health Savings Account, through Health Equity. An HSA is a personal savings account used to pay for qualified medical expenses and is available to individuals who are enrolled in a high-deductible health plan (HDHP).

Contributions to an HSA are made with pre-tax dollars, which means that they can lower your taxable income and reduce the amount of tax you owe. The money in an HSA can be used to pay for a wide range of medical expenses, including deductibles, copayments, and prescription drugs.

In addition to providing a way to pay for medical expenses, HSAs also offer tax benefits and can be a useful tool for saving for future healthcare costs.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Allegiance

An FSA, or Flexible Spending Account, is a type of personal savings account that is used to pay for qualified medical expenses. Offered through Allegiance, an FSA allows you to contribute a portion of your pre-tax earnings to an account that can be used to pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses.

Contributions to an FSA are made with pre-tax dollars, which means that they can lower your taxable income and reduce the amount of tax you owe. The money in an FSA can be used to pay for a wide range of medical expenses, including deductibles, copayments, and prescription drugs.

A dependent care FSA is used to pay for the cost of caring for dependents, such as children or elderly relatives, while you are at work or looking for work. Dependent care FSAs allow you to set aside a portion of your pre-tax earnings to pay for eligible dependent care expenses, such as daycare, preschool, after-school programs, and in-home care for elderly or disabled dependents.

Note: Our Allegiance group number is 505850.
