FAFSA
The FAFSA opens sometime in December and must be submitted each year to be considered for federal, state, and some institutional financial aid. FAFSA determines your Expected Family Contribution (EFC). This is used as an index number to help determine your financial need. The EFC is then used to award financial aid such as grants, loans, and student employment.
- When your FAFSA form is complete, you will receive a Student Aid Report. Make sure you add our school code (003194) so ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ Fox can receive your FAFSA. We will receive incoming student FAFSAs once they are admitted to the university.)
Access the FAFSA form . Make sure to create an FSA ID and password when you get to this page (one can be obtained at ). Write these down, as you’ll need them again later! Have questions about the FAFSA? Visit this page.
FAFSA Verification Worksheets
Every year, the U.S. Department of Education selects about 22% of those who completed the FAFSA for verification. This doesn’t mean you did something wrong; they use verification to confirm that the household and tax data reported on your FAFSA is accurate.
In order to receive your offered financial aid, you must complete the verification process. ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ Fox reserves the right to select a student for verification who was not federally selected.
All verification forms can be submitted or mailed. Please make sure to complete the forms corresponding to the correct aid year.

FERPA Release of Information
ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ Fox takes your confidential information seriously. The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 protects the privacy of students’ confidential financial aid and educational records. There is some information that is not confidential under FERPA laws, but ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ Fox still needs students’ written consent to release those records.
Submit the consent form here:
Stafford Entrance and Exit Counseling
Entrance Counseling
If you decide to accept a Stafford federal loan, you must complete online entrance counseling to ensure you understand the responsibilities and obligations of a loan. The process only takes 20 to 30 minutes.
Exit Counseling
If you graduate, drop below half enrollment, or leave school and have Stafford loans, you must complete exit loan counseling. This 20- to 30-minute online counseling session prepares you with information needed to repay loans.
Loan Discharge Certification
Direct and Plus Loan Annual Student Loan Acknowledgement
is a yearly confirmation of your current federal Direct Loans and Plus Loans. It is required by the Department of Education before ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ Fox can disburse the loan to your student account.
Professional Judgment
We know that sometimes a family's financial situation is not accurately represented on the FAFSA. In these cases we may be able to consider a professional judgment. These professional judgment requests must be approved by the Professional Judgment Committee.
Graduate Payment / Refund Estimator
Graduate students can estimate their remaining costs or refunds using our Graduate Payment/Refund Estimators. Please click the link for your academic year:
