Grant Lifecycles
The lifecycle of ºìÐÓ¶ÌÊÓƵ Fox University grants are organized in either the Pre-Award or Post-Award cycles. Grant monitoring is completed in seven phases throughout the life of the grant to maintain strategic alignment, assist project and program success, and meet funding compliance and grant contract requirements.

Pre-Award Grant Work
The Pre-Award cycle is defined as all grant-related activities before a funder notifies GFU of a grant award. Pre-Award grant work occurs in Phases 1-4 of the 7 distinct GFU Grant Lifecycle Phases to monitor and administer grant excellence in preparing for grant funds.

Post-Award Grant Work
The Post-Award cycle is defined as all grant-related activities after GFU has received the official signed grant award contract. Post-Award grant work occurs in Phases 5-7 of the 7 distinct GFU Grant Lifecycle Phases to help monitor and administer grant excellence in the use of the grant funds.

Post-Award Hand-Off Meeting
BEFORE the Post-Award Checklist is completed, the Office of Advancement, Office of Finance, and management personnel of the identified grant(s) must meet to officially move the grant into the Post-Award cycle.
